    Hi fellow XJ members.

Is there a Facebook page with members from here on it? Should I start one? Easier to upload pictures and videos. Also maybe a lot more members that don't know about this forum?

Some of us are on it, but Facebook is a poor platform for technical discussions. I almost always redirect folks to look here.

There is nothing difficult about posing photos and videos here; you need a few more posts before you are allowed to though (it's an effective anti-spam measure).

I don't Faceplace, seems everyone does.
I feel it is a very cumbersome platform.... but I DO still have a MySpace page.:oops: Don't remember the password and whenever I go back to it I don't recognize it. o_O

I like it here.... a lot...... with Matti..... :p

I don't like Facebook. No in fact hate facebook. IMO it's for the nerdy and needy. I would also have though that the average XJBike-r would be be too old for all that childish twaddle.

Hate is such a harsh word... I would say a general disdain for it - but not so much FaceBook itself, just the way that many seem to use it (at least in this neck of the woods). They use it to pass judgement and make disparaging remarks about other people. - behind their backs! so shallow.

I use it to stay in contact with distant relatives and friends. Facebook is what the user makes of it (like any platform).

I've quit smoking several times. I think that for some, Facebook has similar addictive qualities.

Lol. Yup done the same with smoking myself. This site makes it easy though to satisfy the addiction without having a fb dedicated group. Still a grand idea tho for many ppl. I belonged to one of them one I was on fb a cpl years ago

I'd join a third time tho to an xj group if all the gurus here did Facebook live and even had a once per week "live tutorial" on maintaining your xj properly. They can start with a antidive fork assembly rebuild. I'll donate mine for the show. Just so long as I get it back afterwards. Teeheehee

This is indeed the issue - for the weak of will it becomes 'all-consuming'..

Never understood the appeal of facebook.

I agree, people seem to be brainwashed by FB. You are supplying your details to a corporate giant to market to you. They make you join their "club". This site was here before FB and will be here long after. Screw FB.
