I've got an '82 Yamaha 750 Maxim Street Bike for sale. 750 cc. XV 920J I believe it needs some electrical work. I am asking $500........

 

Supposedly, gentleman prefer blondes. I've been avoiding them. Usually more of a Bette Page or Joan Jett kind of guy. Funny thing is, if I had a time machine, after a quick visit to Hitler's nursery, first stop would be Marilyn's place.

Funny you should ask----

If you looked closely at the pics before the ad was removed, you'd have noticed that the tank is actually a 750rj tank ( which doesn't fit the bike to begin with, because someone didn't read my interchange forum and didn't relocate the horns..... but I digress)--- and they swapped out the standard shoulder bolt for a clip either the correct bolt!!! So.... YES, it does

 

So is that 650 Seca Kawasaki green? Cuz most of the pictures show a silver bike. I want the silver bike, but the green one? Only if it's 500 bucks. Oh, it is. Hmm. I'll have to paint it black.

Those other pics are bait. It's what the bike could be, not the one you get. that's the last pic of dirty bike.

 

The silver bike has the same cracks in the saddle cover as the green one.
My guess is that he bought it in silver and then painted it green (has a week work in it...)

I'd like to think that between what has been done to it and the tank and no right cover this is more of a 7-800$ bike. Tho I don't know about the 650 secas too well.

 

Well, he says he has all the original parts....so that would imply that he DOES have the right cover, too......but yeah, that poor original tank!!!

 

Well, I thought I'd go ahead and talk to this person. He says he has a perfect condition side cover for the right side, and he is familiar with the xj sites as well. I may need to go see this one then since he has probably taken care of the maintenance. Hmmm. Who has a good tank if I do go forward looking at it?

 

Nice guy. Chatted a bit. He has done oil changes but that's about all. Selling because he has other priorities to take care of first and ultimately wants a v max anyway.
