ok. I was on my way this coming Saturday to go get this. I’ll get this out of the way. He will take 500$. Selling for his son in law. Looks like he should’ve stayed on 4 wheels. Anyways. 6500 or so miles is what the clock says. Someone in the area should go pick this up seeing how I am only allowed to buy parts, not whole bikes, she says. Grrr. Never had this problem before. Why did I ask

$ 500 ? And you don't have this bike in your possession yet?

Perhaps a doctor's appointment is necessary.

I'd scoop that in a heartbeat.
    Yes sweetie it's a parts....bike.
Duh,it's easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission!! Tell her the parts were free I had to pay for the wheels.
Pulled that one on my wife while we were away for a holiday. Told her the owner Pulled a fast one and wanted the whole bike gone so I was stuck taking it.
    Wink wink;)

I’ll call tomorrow. Close to me, I just bought a 750 kaw twin and still uncertain about the fate of my Maxim but that’s a good deal. I have Friday off and already planning on picking up one bike with a trailer.

Needless to say I’m not pleased with this decision. I told him though that I’d put it up on a forum for other ppl to look at. I specifically was thinking if jayrodah due to proximity and all.
I get my wife’s sentiment though. She’d rather I finish the 550 before I go into another bike. Her logic isn’t fun ,though it is sound.
And to be fair I want to find a 900 over another 750. Then a 650 and I’ll have one of each. I guess I have to actually finish something though first. Lmfao. Right

    Never too many imo.

So. Whoever calls or gets it please just let him know the ad came from here and I forwarded it

But darling you have to buy them when you find them or I will never be able to complete my collection. Hoggfiddles will buy them all;).
a nice ruby necklace or set of diamond earrings goes a long way. Sapphires are nice too.

But Honey I was just holding it for a friend

That is just a little too far for me to go or I would. That is a nice looking bike for that $$. I hope someone on here is able to get her.

I need the plastic to cover the square junk up front! The Atari and aquarium lights kill me. They are a big part of why I sold my Seca. All about round dials and lights, which explains my 650 Seca lust. You're not going to find a bigger, rounder light!

Or perhaps you're current ride is the parts bike. All depends on condition and perspective.

Have to pass on this one. Already got another project and ended up being sick last two days, just getting around now. Dang flu like things. The kids are as good at bringing bugs home as Dave is about bringing bikes home. Plus I still don't know what the status of the maxim is yet from insurance.

That’s correct good sir. More the not getting it because of the miles being so low

Believe me, had my wife not been adamant about the whole idea I’d be putting up pictures of it from the back of my truck. It’s ok tho.

She said I could buy parts, so that’s what I’m doing. Plus, I opted to take her to mall of America tomorrow. It’ll cost me dearly, but I may get the blessing for the bike anyway. No no Honey. Don’t buy me anything here for Christmas I have an idea of what I want for it myself!!! Snicker snicker. We shall see!! I will err on the side of pessimism though.

    Those gauges look clean!

You are buying the touring fairings and boxes, and the bike comes with it. You could probably get almost what the whole bike is costing for the complete tour package alone. I do see that both are scraped up pretty good on the right side though. Hard to come by with the proper attaching brackets.

Someone better grab this at $500.

Plenty of topical rust. It has this emblem though which I’ve never seen before. Teehee

Still too soon to be decided, but I went for the motor with it being low miles. I liked the idea of having a low mile motor and what not.

I think just being properly stored would’ve helped this bike over the years it wasn’t in service. Story is the guy who owned it moved to Reno years ago and finally decided to give it to a family member. It sat in the family barn which was an old gravel floored barn. Therefore years of moisture coming from the ground.
More pics when I get back home later today

That little cover for the bars is a rare little item. Both side covers, bags, boxes and faring equals you getting a low mileage engine pretty much for free. Plus, the gray is a nice color. On the down side, you lost a bunch of spare time. Damned hobbies!

Lol. Cpl more pics. Ran some never dull over the muffler for the pic. Past that I haven’t done anything to it other than to start it up and find that #1,2 header pipes r cold while running. More pics to come and I’m sure I’ll develop a thread later for you all to help me on this. Thanks in advance.

Haha. Yes. That pill is for me to help cure me from the mall of America
