I don't even know where to start!

"relatively new tires" - Relative to what? 1982?
"rebuilt from the ground up" - So, handlebars, gauges and a seat?
"converted into a cafe racer" - See above! It already looked like a café racer, so...
"a head turner" - Maybe they're looking at all the scuff marks and greasy fingerprints.

    Sheesh!

Wow, that is really bad to even put that on line to sell....sad.

Here is another bobber that is hitting the road before it is done...
    https://brainerd.craigslist.org/mcy/d/1982-xj-750-bobber/6548519516.html

This one could be a good deal?
    https://madison.craigslist.org/mcy/d/1982-yamaha-maxim/6546622800.html

Must be spring cleaning day on bobbers
    https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/dak/mcy/d/82-yamaha-maxim-bobber-project/6490844805.html

Had to add this one...I think that seat rest is one of the hard to find parts? For the price I would get this for a parts bike...too far away :(

Not for the two from Minnesota. We're in the middle of getting another 6 inches (of snow, Matti!).

Hmmmm, motocross bars, headlight that will annoy aircraft, brake light/license plate that will catch your leg, nice seat sitting up on top of the frame, foot pegs and controls in stock position. Yes sir that is a garu-damn-teed cafe racer. Other than it's not what he says it is, it's clean looking in the pictures.

It’d take a lot of beers. And whiskeys. No coke. No ice. Straight up. And no light beers either. We r talking IPA’s

God, that's a travesty. It looks wrong on so many levels. I mean, to be fair, he seems to have executed well on his mods, but... *shudders* Awful taste, IMHO.

    Definitely an optimist.

side covers r still good and have all tabs. Clear titled frame , he says the tank looks nice inside given how the outside looks.
Idk. I think it’s prolly worth 300$ which is what he will sell it for. Just happens to be a bit too far away still for me while I’m visiting my sons in Morgantown

Also a plain looking header. No visible plumbing to the snail.
Could we be looking at a 750 or 900rl? Note the 3 gauges...

Is that "Seca 750 Yics" wearing the rare cast Yamaha crash bars? Between them and the rest of the parts, there's gotta be $500 there...

It is missing the side cover emblems, as well as the passenger footpegs
