No.....member ' desingermike' has "Plum Crazy".......that is what he named his 700Xafter he restored it.

 

Well it turned up, both sidecovers there, carbs, airbox, four into one usable, needs headlight, indicators - ph and a front set of forks, wheel and disc. Looks like its been outside for a while, but nothing serious. Will try to get it running before stripping bits off it, including the paint...

 

It is still there, but no title. If it is still there on Monday I may drive to Atlanta and get it. Might offer him $200 first, but I think I could handle $300.

May it has 5 valves cuz it has a maxim X seat set on it....lol

went a little overboard using that many valves to mount the seat

 

I was wondering how many airheads Yamaha made with 5 valves per cylinder!

I didn't realize my xj700n was missing 12 of its valves. That explains a lot. I should have done more research.

 

They may have gotten sucked out if you experienced a vacuum leak at some point.

Collectors Dream!= Dent on gas tank, it is a shiny dent though
0 miles on rebuilt carburetor.= won't start
Front caliper is seized and needs to be rebuilt or replaced= stops as well as it go's

he forgot the extra air filtration system and custom tank badges

 

For $3k, I'd expect to have the correct exhaust, the correct airbox and boots hooked correctly, and a not-bent rear left signal in addition to what was already mentioned

 

Purple 650 turbo - I can see why it stayed in the garage

Obviously a very unclear idea of what RESTORED means......

 

At the risk of getting burned at the stake, I'd ride it. Dang sure wouldn't pay anywhere close to that amount of money for it but I've seen a lot worse "restorations". Not that I would call it a restoration either. Restomod?

I missed out on one of those on ebay just yesterday - went for £550. It wasn't mint, and had an engine problem, but if i didn't have two ongoing projects I'de have been keener.

With that silly 85mph instrument it would be close LOL.
The most valuable parts on a 650 Seca are the big headlight & instruments but that one is too rusty.

 

Don't forget side covers! I need a parts bike but not sure bout that price lol
