Hey everyone. Does anyone know the thread pitch, size, and length of the xj650 exhaust manifolds? One snapped off as soon as I started the bike this morning in the worst possible way... a quarter inch into the head.

Anyway I'm going to begin the process of replacing them all and since I have access to a wall full of hardware I might have the right stuff already if I knew what size to grab :)

    Thank you!

Sounds as if you need a Haynes manual. Widely available here and on the internet.

haynes may tell him the size and pitch on the exhaust nut for torquing but i do not think it lists the stud size and length. its not like yamaha releases that kind of info because they want to sell you parts.
I do agree he does need manuals FSM and Haynes would be good.

20180526_105151.jpg Here she is! I have a Haynes manual, didn't list what I needed. I am an XJ noobie but a long term gear head. Bought the XJ now that the kids are a little older and have been enjoying my little project bike. I've already replaced the clutch and bought the carb kit, I'm waiting for new intake manifolds before the rebuild though.

    Thank you XJ550H!
