    Looks like the coolant tank.

Does it matter what coolant I use?

I wouldn't think so but i'd try to either use the same as what's already in it or get some fresh and don't mix the two.
    I use a HOAT coolant/antifreeze in my Tiger 800.

Drain the system and re-fill. If you don't know what's in there you can risk the whole mucky mess turning to sludge/gel. Been there, done that. Colour is no guide by the way.

Thank you guys. I was fairly certain I knew it was antifreeze, but wanted to be sure. I drained and refilled about a year and a half ago, but then it went down right after and I hadn’t driven it yet. Finally found a shop to fix it and just got it back (for winter) and then my truck died. I had to get going with my day and noticed that the tank was empty (not sure If they drained most of it or what, the straw was even out). I couldn’t remember where the tank was and was in a panic. I didn’t respond, but seen both your messages and I appreciate the advice. Ease of mind makes for a much better day. I’m sure I’ll be posting here a lot since I’m not very good with mechanics. Thank you guys again.
