diode block part no

    hi all help required here in the UK i am after a part number for the diode block fitted to the xj 550 seca , the bike is a 1982 north american model , i am aware they fitted different ones to the american/european models .

    the part number i have is 4u81980 is this correct as i have burnt out 2 secondhand ones and i now want to buy a new correct one .

    If you are smoking the diode pack then you have a wiring issue. That is the correct PN for the 550 models. Are you using an aftermarket regulator?

    Not an answer to your question but how are you testing the diode block to determine its “burnt up” and have you corrected the upstream issue on the bike? Hate to see you buy another and destroy it when you plug it in.

    its a diode block but for a uk bike which may or may not use the same part if the partnumber were the same I would say thats the part but yamaha uses the same part number for the same part what ever the bike it goes in.

    hi the diode blocks for the uk bike don't work as i have had 2 secondhand ones and burn out when you use the clutch , the wiring is perfect, i know the american diode block is different just want a part no for the north american bike so i can get the right one , my bike is a us import not a uk bike
