Work to date so far. can’t take credit for the hardtail and exhaust. Relocated the battery to up front, plan on running a M Unit and Antigravity battery when I rewire, new seat and springs fitted that actually work, rear ‘guard cut down and fitted, front ‘guard chopped, forwards fitted. Next up electrics box so I can get rid of the tube thingy the guy who I got the project from planned on using

Nope. They mostly are lot worse. 100 mile ride today and I'm a little sore even with a rear shock.

It was nearly 30 years ago! I worked for Fluke and visited the factory in Everett a couple of times in the early 90s.

Who hardtailed your bike? Are they a member on here? I'm in the process of doing the same to mine and it would be great to be able to talk to someone else who's already successfully done one. Bike looks great!

Next up should be putting an airbox back on it.....if you want to enjoy riding the thing instead of just looking at it.

I have never had any major issue running pod air filters on my bikes. That’s what I have on my XJ750 too.

The rear tyre looks like a car tyre, just wondering? It's the second picture must be the camera angle.

Also in the picture the rear tire is underinflated by a significant amount so it looks more flat. Look at the lower sidewall in the original, this won't enlarge, sorry.

Very nice built indeed. The lines of the tubing compliments the bike.. imo
    Tank and saddle are gorgeous.

    Nope.
Of course, if you listen to the doom-sayers, you will crash and die horribly in a fire if you even think about it.
