1981 XJ750 Seca parts

Hello, I have had parts from my Seca that I bought new in '81. I was one of the first to receive these bikes, I was told, and it came with a amber fog light that later became illegal to have in Washington State or U.S. It was a recall but I kept it. Not sure if its rare or not but,... also have head lamp blinkers etc. I had a Vedder V fairing installed so I was given all the parts they removed. Anyhow I have a box of stuff for sale. CMD

 

I’d be interested in the amber auxiliary light.....

 

I'm looking for advice from the group what the value of these parts are. How do I insert pictures to show what I have??

 

Might be I'm not exactly sure but this stuff can be more precious than usual products. But why are you selling them?

 

Darin, I sold the bike 35-40 years ago, had the extra stuff from the fairing being mounted. Holding it for no reason, it’s an old guy thing, anyhow some young buck may enjoy it more than me.

 

I get it now, yeah obviously youth will enjoy.

 

If Hogfiddles doesn't take the Amber light, I will.

I’ll look—— but know that ANY xj650,xj700, MaximX, xj750, and xj90rk starter will work. They’re all the same other than color.... some are black and others are silver.

 

I am hoping this works,.... The amber light is the original light since this was one of the first to be shipped to the state. It was part of a recall once DOT realized a amber light wasn't allowed on bikes,... Look close and you can see it has YAMAHA on the amber light. Up for offers,...

 

Yes the amber fog light is a rarity here

A lad by the handle, Joejr2 has shown interest in the light bucket. Now that he can see a pic not sure if he still wants it.

 

The amber light has been typically around $30...... for used ones. There’s a NOS one one eBay now for $100, bu TV I think that’s waaaay high

The other parts aren’t rare enough to command high prices.....

You’re looking pretty much around the $25-$30 mark for each set:

- headlight/bucket ass’y

- signals with stem mounts

-fork emblem

About $10-15 for:

-Pair of rectangle-ish reflector assemblies of lenses are not cracked and you get the missing trim piece

$5-10 for:

- Footpeg bracket

- round reflector from a different bike

 

Sounds good, Joejr2 needs the bucket, I'll get rid of the rest as a bundle to whoever wants them. Dust is free. Chrome paint on the emblem is flaky.
