What is the round hole on the left side of the engine under the large round cover.
    And why is mine leaking.
    I don't know a lot about my 83 xj750 maxum
Since I haven't had it long.
    I do love it though.

Those plugs usually do not come out easily or well....if its just a slight leak then I would probably leave it. Have you cleaned off the side of the engine with a de-greaser to make sure it is not running down from another location?

Check behind the round cover too the one the crank position sensors or pick ups are.

    Just
There is no oil anywhere on the bike
Just a drop in the afore mentioned hole. Not gonna worry about it
