So it's a theme bike. I'm not a paint and body expert, but if you squint your eyes and think of Lake Minnetonka everything starts to gel.... Ok, ok... It's the ugliest parts bike I've ever seen, let alone dragged home. All the little pieces that you'd like to see on a parts bike are gone or broken. I'll just chalk this one up to entertainment value and appreciate what must have been somebody's paint fume induced vision.

If you need a very, very purple tank...let me know.

You know, the first time (and the 2nd, and 3rd.......) that I saw this picture, after squinting my eyes, I thought is was a "diorama" of a model-kit bike in a manger type setting, and the dog was just photoshopped in....maybe it's just the out-of-focus background that makes the bike looks "miniature" in comparison to the maybe-photoshopped-in dog.........that, and what looks like a huge master cylinder reservoir (the white rectangular "bowl" with black lid, hovering around the handlebars). I'm still not sure what that object is............

It really does look like a model. I was just playing with settings on my camera that let you adjust focus after you take the picture. However it manipulates it digitally makes it look weird. But it's definitely there in all it's purple glory!

Thy giant master cylinder is the broken Atari sitting upside down on the bars. This thing really got abused, layed over, broken and smashed. I'd never have brought it home if I didn't already have a stable of 82 750 Maxims.

But at least the PO had identified the typical fuse box issue and repaired it as seen here...

Can anybody identify the front wheel and forks? I'm thinking XS??

It's also the flat/dull purple paint that gives it a "cheap plastic-y" model kit look. I know it's a real bike, but maybe you could post it in a model-kit-builders forum and says it's a rare XJ454 (because who would know the difference?) model kit from the 80's that was made by the Happy Cycle City company and was only available in now-defunct hobby stores in the Iwata area (and see how many take the bait.........) :)

The fuse box looks very model-kity, too. Could you blur that photo for me too? I want the illusion to remain as real as possible!

    :)

The XS alloys are usually double-ribbed, that looks more like a Kwack front end to me.

I've owned a couple 82 KZ750 LTDs and that looks spot on. I'd almost be willing to bet money on that.....almost.

My '78 XS650 was the first year of Mag wheel I believe.
Your rims do not look the same although similar.

The dog has a better sense of taste than the PO.
