I notice that one of my air cleaner joint(airbox boot) is smaller than the other three by 4mm.

There was an air cleaner case on ebay, so I bought that. But when it arrived, it was the same size as the small one. The small ones are 44mm in diameter while the bigger ones are 48mm.
I already tried heating and boiling it, but it's still too tight. I also heard using xylene and wintergreen oil, but at the end of the day, it is still not the right dimension. I don't like forcing parts to fit. How would I find the right part? Chatgpt couldn't help me. Thanks for any help

I should have measured the carb, I'll edit it in tomorrow...

Actually, the #1 and #4 boots are the same size, and the #2 and #3 are a different size. We do have reproductions of the originals available for both positions.

Doesn't having a computer regurgitate mis-information make it more true?

Only uncivilized, pre-Renaissance Luddites wouldn't believe what a human-created and coded computer program (which has no intelligence, artificial or otherwise) vomits out to the world..... :)

Or as they like to say in the bit-flogging world:

    GARBAGE IN, GARBAGE OUT.

The carb is also 48mm. Can I get the boot #1 Chacal? Not to doubt you or anything, but can you also get me the dimensions for the inner diameter of the boot? I've been burned once already

The airbox boot, where it attaches to the carb (where the band clamp is located) is a little over 48mm ID.
