OK, this may need to be merged, sorry about that SnoSherrif, but the search didn't come up with anything.

Most who have replaced their coils with aftermarket, know that the DynaTek DC1-1 are a good choice, and I've heard the Accel coils work as well, but what about the Nology 3.0 ohm dual tower coils? They have the same physical shape as our OEM coils, and boast the highest voltage at 45,000 big ones. Yes, I know that they are also the most expensive. I have seen many of the ingenious ways that you folks have come up with when mounting those coils, but I't rather find a coil that fits in the same place as the original.

    Thanks for the help.

I've fixed my Accel's in the exact location as my stock coils with no trouble at all with the supplied brackets. I'll have to post pics later.

Do you have pictures of what this looks like? Are you still using the original wires/resistor caps/plugs?

I have been considering the Nology coils too.

I have also heard there is a Harley OEM coil that works well too. 31364 maybe?

Couldn't find a Harley Davidson OEM coil with that part number, but the Nology coil part # is PFC-30D Nology ProFire Dual Tower 3.0 Ohms. I've found them for around $77 each. I need to take some measurements to see how the mounting holes line up. I think this is my solution as this coil puts out 55,000+ volts. I will be going with suppression wires.

Well, to kind of bring an end to this thread, I called Nology and they haven't any coils that will work with our bikes since the coil never really rests between firings. Because of this, the Nology coils would burn up - unless you put on an aftermarket ignition system like the Dyna 2000.
