Seca 750, 1981. Wife afraid she will fall off is looking for back rest. I seen something a while back, but wasn't thinking about it at the time. Wife wasn't riding with me all the time. She loves to go biking now that the weather has been good. What is out there and how are they mounted. I haven't noticed where it would attach.

Hard to find - Ebay is your friend.

They mount at two points usually - the frame-to-fender bolt under the rear of the seat, and then the allen bolt at the front of the grab-rail in front of the shock mount.

Thanks Altus. Is there a brand or how do you know what fits? I suppose this needs to be measured for the allignment.

Most of the generic ones were made by a now-defunct company called K&G Engineering. They're pretty much model-specific, but as with everything, you can make anything fit with enough modding and/or money.

I got mine off from my buddy's 83 xs400 he didn't want it.
Wasn't that hard but needed some thick washers that is all. Wife now loves to be on the back.

I looked for months and never found a sissy bar or back rest(except the hard bag trunkw/rest) for my Seca. I ended up bending one from 1/2" emt conduit and mounting it to a spare grab bar. When we do any long haul riding I just put the sissy bar bag on backwards and it acts as the pad for the Ol' Lady. It aint pretty but it's functional. I'll try to get some pics sometime.
