OK, Have not run the bike for two weeks because of all the rain. Went out this afternoon and started the old girl just to make sure she started. Started up ran for about two min and stopped. would not start, let the bike sit for 15 min and she started up again, ran for about two min and stopped. I repeated this several times

What could be the problem ?

Two things i can think of are

Faulty fuel tap or cdi has a fault. When it stops try turning fuel tap to prime and see if it will start then, also carry a spare plug so you can see if its lost its spark.
I had a similar problem, bike would run for about half a mile and just stop, wait 5 mins and it would restart and do anothe half mile. That was a faulty CDI, replaced it and its not been a problem since.

Sounds like it could be a possible fuel flow problem. Dirty strainer in tank maybe? Cloged fuel selector valve? Hopefully it wasn't out in the rain durring the recent hurricane.

i see this problem all the time on the dirt machines, the breather gets clogged and the tank flows fuel until there is enough vaccuum in the tank to stop the flow.

try this: next time it dies, pop the fuel cap open and see if it fixes the problem. if it is a faulty breather it will probably make a sucking sounds when you open it.
