I once had a mechanic come to the house to work on a bike. One of the things I asked him to do was sync the carbs. He had a cool little gas tank that he used to feed the carbs while he did this. It was almost like an IV bottle that he could hang up out of the way so he could run the bike but still get at the carbs for tweaking. Does anyone know what that's called and where I might get one?

    Thanks!

I use an old Lawnmower Tank hung from the left bar with a tie wrap. Carb Sync Pro hung on the right bar.

JC Whitney sells them. Chaparral sells them. J&K sells them. They are simply auxillary fuel tanks specifically made for this task. As you can see, you can fabricate an auxillary tank from a lot of different things so don't be limited, go for it and build one for yourself.

I made mine from a metal coffee can. Soldered a on/off valve to the bottom to attach the fuel line and a hook on the top to hang from a ladder. Took me 30 minutes to make it. I have never seen one in any catalogue for sale.

I use a 1 liter plastic water bottle with the bottom cut out and a plastic nipple glued to the cap to feed the carbs for synchronizing the carbs on my bikes. I hang it from the handlebars with a piece of wire.
