    Hello Everyone,

Well, I guess you can count me as another Max-X owner who has crawled out from under the woodwork. I have owned this bike for 15 years, but sadly only ridden 2k miles. My current odom reading is 3,891! It's my own fault...too many toys and not enough summer months here in Michigan. But I am now paring down some possessions and will be spending some fall/winter months in a warmer climate so hopefully I can start to ramp those numbers up. I have had the luxury of the bike being serviced by a local guy who owned a collision shop but was also an old school MC guy. He has since moved away so now I am being challenged to become a responsible XJ owner! If you knew what a mechanical dork I am you would understand what a daunting task that is. I have spent many hours pouring over the posts and related links in this forum and have learned more in the past couple months than the previous 15 years combined. I have always thought the bike was special but frankly hearing the pride from members here has encouraged me to not only learn and do more but also appreciate the power of one community. All I can say is thank you.

I have some immediate concerns which I will post in the appropriate forum soon. Some of my questons are going to sound absurd but I will try and search for everthing before posting. If there are any Metro Detroit X owners out there feel free to drop me and email. Cheers!

Man you haven't even begun to break that bike in yet!! I bought my X in the spring and have had to learn a few things as well. I live on the other side of Mi in Marshall. These bikes when well tuned are a blast to ride.
