Hello again, i have some questions(ahem) first off my bike , an 85 700 aircooled, has honda pipes on it. These appear somewhat smaller than the stock ones that ive seen in some pics. Will smaller pipes hurt my engine? because if they are more restrictive it seems to me like they will cool the the engine better. But they are just a little bit smaller.

Also, i have decided to run an stp gas additive to it, just the basic formula, but I run 87 octane through it because thats what my farm has in its tanks, and i dont wanna pay for premium or anything because the 87 is free :D, should i run an octane booster through it? I would think not because it is a big aircolled engine IMO, and i would like it to run as cool as possible so it wont harm the engine, but should i run an octane booster? thanks guys you are really responsive and helpful.

oh one last question, because im a highschooler, i have to be flashy, and i alreay have some 2 1/2" chrome yamaha symbols getting made for my bike to put on the side of the tank, but i was wondering, would you recomend some ground effect lights? or would they overload the stator(i think thats what bikes and stuff have not altonators) or would they look dumb on a bike like that? if u think i should ge them put what color.

Thanks guys that was alot of reading on your part and i cant wait for your input.

First, a picture of the pipes would be helpful.

Second, no octane boost. The standard 87 octane will work just fine. If you want to clean the fuel system, get yourself a bottle of SeaFoam and follow the instructions.

Finally, regarding ground effect lights, that's a personal decision. As long as you don't go crazy, you should be able to connect them to the AUX power connector off the fuse panel.
