i saw on ebay a set of carbs for the xj900...

the ad says that they are the 35mm (maybe 36mm) sized carbs...

what does the 35mm refer to? the diameter of the slides? or the butterfly valves? something else?

    just curious...

    thanks

    The 900 runs 35mm Mikuni's.

The "35mm" is the Inside Diameter of the Throttle Body that extends from the front of the Carb.
The part which gets pushed-into the Intake Manifolds.
    (Not the Airbox side.)

Are all the XJ carbs the same size?. I believe my 81 Seca 750 has 35mm carbs.

gaillarry, your 81 Seca has 32mm Hitachi carbs (HSC32). The principle is the same, but none of the parts are interchangeable.
