Well, I sold the Maxim today. :( Talk about sellers remorse.

It was time for the Maxim to have a new home - I've been neglecting her too much because of the Venture. Still, it'll be really hard to see it ride away when he picks it up tomorrow. I sure wish I'd rode it one last time instead of using the cage this morning.

I'll still hang around here though. I don't think I'll ever get XJs out of my blood.

I don't know exactly how you feel, yet ... but, the time is coming.
I'm going to have to sell my beloved Seca-900 soon.
I figure I'll hold-on to it until the Christmas Gift Buying Season kicks-in a week or two after Halloween.
Seems like that's when it started -- last year!

    I'll probably break-down and cry.
I need to find a serious XJ-Man who can care for it!

My PO is also my riding buddy. He is most definitely feeling sellers remorse.
I restored the old XJ and have it running like a top.
It looks like new and runs even better. He bought an 83 Magna 1100 and has had a lot of problems with it while my old XJ doesn't miss a beat.
He now regularly cusses at his "new" ride while his neighbors dog him about how good his old XJ looks and runs since I purchased it.
MiCarl-I hope you find a worthy replacement.

Congrats Carl... I guess that means there is hope for selling my old girl yet as well (damn Ventures are seductive!). I've had mine for almost 18 years. I know it needs to go, but I am dreading the day.

HAHA!... if I ever sell my rides I'd want to sell it to someone far away so I never have to see them anymore

Carl, Carl, Carl---how can you expect to get by with only ONE motorcycle? Ya gotta have AT LEAST two, in case one is down for any length of time. Three is better yet. Now four, well four is...**garage too full, cut it out**

I don't consider my Venture that seductive, just more practical for the riding I'm doing now.

You know, I'd quit trying to sell it. I'd just decided I need to rebuild the final drive on the Venture and I'd be riding the Maxim for awhile. Same day the buyer pretty much just showed up. I hope the final drive in the Venture holds up until the snow flies.......

    Sell the XJ, never!

Even if it just sits, like this one has. Sooooo many people in the past have asked to have the 750 over the years. Glad I kept it, now I'm in the mood to revive it

I'm starting to look around for a XJ1100, which is really what I wanted when I bought this 750.

Awesome job on the SECA Rick, can't really picture letting it go after all that work. To each his own I guess.

I think XJ's are like cats.. They wander in and out when they see fit.

Carl, before long, another one will be clawing at your door

Well, ... there ain't no Bill of Sale written-up as yet.

I got a Members Bike in here and we are putting the Full Court Press on it looking over the Systems and trying to get it to run right.
That's kept the focus off the 900 and it's getting late in the season.
I'm not in as big a hurry as my wife is to see it get sold.
But, if the right offer came in I'd sure have to listen.
