a damn bee stung me on the belly cruising at about 40 mph. i didnt really see it but i grabbed some small insect and ripped it off then pulled over and saw there were no gaping holes but when i got home there was the normal bee sting bump and small hole sans stinger. and for a question, do i need to lube a brand new clutch cable? got one from chacal and took the bike out without thinking of lubing it since it was new.
    thoughts?

You can lube it right on the Bike.
Undo the Lever end and hold it vertical.

Let some light oil trickle down the cable and into the cable sheath.
Put some paper towels around the lower end.
When the light oil comes-out the bottom end ... you're done!

buy a cable luber and its even quicker than the trickle method. they are a savior at mud races!

the new cable should have a good amount of lube on it.

Not a bad idea to lube it.
I had the same thing happen with a wasp. It went up my shirt sleeve and stung me in the arm pit several times, dang that hurt.

Was out riding one day, came home and went to jump in the shower, when I was emptying the pockets in my denim vest, I got stung by a bee that decided to stay in the chest pocket after the ride.

it was the first time I had been stung by a bee, and I was living alone in a semi secluded area and didn't have any idea whether or not I was allergic to them.

    Luckily I wasn't.

My fiancee's brother died from a bee sting.

If you know you're allergic, please carry the proper supplies with you while riding!

Bees and wasps! They're the only thing that'll make me pull to the side of the road faster than flashing lights. I've had to shake a couple out of my jacket on a few occasions. Luckily, no stings.
