Alrite I've finally managed to steal my sisters camera and post some pics. Looking at these pictures my bike is really flawed, but i hope to put in some elbow grease this winter after all the repairs are done. Just take a look, i think they're going to be big so sorry for the slow load, and I'd just like to know if you see anything that's not stock, oh ya and i have a picture of the honda pipes, and of the serial code, i would like to know if anyone has a website where you can plug thsoe numbers in to see what model they're off of and stuff. thanks guys.

they were on it when i bought it, and they're not stickers, they're painted on, lol the sig stickers are on the way form a local graphic shop, they're some chrome yamaha emblems, about 2 1/2" diameter, i think they'll look sweet.

sorry my bike is really dirty, jsut never wanted to clean it cuz ifigured the guys that im gonan take it to to get fixed are gonna dirty it all up.

As far as not stock well pipes LOL, mirrors, rear turn signals they should match the front chrome ones. The grips and bar weights are not stock check and see if the right on is also a throttle lock(a type of cruise) they do make them like that and are a nice feature on long trips. besides that and the lack of tank emblems I can't spot any non stock items but I am not an expert but do own a 85 X. THat is a very nice looking bike I am sure you can get her looking and running great with a little work.

Nice machine, the Honda pipes don't look bad either. I'd have eaten rocks to have had one of those when I was 17.

lol back when u were 17 this was probably like a flippin cbr 1000, but ya my parents would eat rocks for me to not have it, and ill be sure to post some pics of the stickers, may be awhile. Oh and i made this awesome keychain for my bike. Its an alumanum yamaha symbol, , i used a CAD program on our tech centers computer, designed it, its about 2 inches big and 1/8 in thick. its all cut out and stuff, ya my teacher likes it so he wants to put it on display so i cant put it on my bike, yet.

I think that the grab bar in the back doesn't have a stock reflector on it, but if you got everything on there working, who cares! If you find out anything more on the pipes, let me know. If I can source of a cheaper replacement set that looks as good as those then ya gotta help a brother out!

its not a reflefter, its a running light, i thought it was weird looking too, i havent been ableto find out what pipes those are, but they work good, idk if its been re-jetted or not, but it doesnt stutter at all or act like its got carb problems.

Why does everyone slam on chrome spraypaint? I've had fantastic luck with the stuff, provided you put your prep work in before you start painting. Yeah, it isn't chrome, but its shiny and "chrome-colored", and looks fantastic from 5 feet away as I go by.

nice bike. looks just like mine. (except for the sticker)

i used a can of aerosol automotive grade adhesive stripper to remove the old yellowed protective film on my accessible metal parts (forks, cases, etc...). It takes that adhesive coating right off and leaves the original shiny metal surface behind. Be VERY careful with that stripper stuff though. tape off and shield all hoses, gaskets, brake components, tires and anything else rubber. That stuff will eat it right up. Also wear gloves and goggles... it burns.

That "Chrome" Paint is just the ticket for putting a new finish on the rusted parabolic reflectors inside your Tail Lights and Turn Signals.

Makes the nice and bright again.

Schooter, what program did you use to make the rendering? I'd be mighty interested in seeing the finished product (would you consider making a few more???).

well, i used Auto CAD, and unfortunately our school switched server programs or soemthing like that, and they never thought to save our programs before they switched, everything was deleted, let me tell you some heads rolled after that one, and mine is still on display. It was pretty intensive work, took about 5 days of 2 1/2 hour periods. and then the machine to make it took about 2 hours to carve it. IDK, maybe if i get some free time i can do it a second time, cuz i know what im doing, and i may beg my teacher to let me make a few.

I'm sure Schooter is licensed to produce and manufacture ornamental Key Chain symbols of the Yamaha Corporation's Corporate Logo!!!

Sooner or later, people who do stuff to hear "Ca-ching" ... are going to get caught and hear: "Ca-link"!!!

Why, when I'm looking at the pictures of your Bike ... do you have the Petcock set to PRIME?

Are you trying to see how much gas you can add to the Crankcase?
Set the Petcock Lever to ON
    Straight up-and-down.
    The pointy-end facing Down!
