What a great site I was soo happy to find a forum dedicated to the XJ bikes. I have an 82 Seca 750 that I dearly love. It is a very fun bike and plenty fast enough for me.

Here is a picture of it the way it sits right now. I just won a new front fairing for it off of e-bay so I will be adding that in due time. :D

The bike was like that when I bought it. I think that the original owner painted the side covers black just to give it a different look. As far as I can tell the bike has never suffered any major impacts.

    And hopefully never will :)

Nice looking bike. I like the paint sceam. The blue matches my STi. Gold rims would really set it off.

Off topic - I spent like 7 years in Ocala and did lots of work on the U of F campus back in 92 - 93. I think it was the Ag building on the south west corner on the mall. They spent WAY too much money to preserve that building.

    Welcome to the site

TY for all the compliments on the bike :)

And TimetoRide the best way I have found to get rid of rear peg sag is to take them off LOL

Very nice Seca. I worked for a dealer in Gainesville 78-83 and I assembled many seca 750 back then. Most had rusty gas tanks and gummed up carbs. The first few got new tanks then Yamaha put a stop to that and sent us acid cleaning kits. The name of the dealership was Sundown yamaha and the owner still owes me 2 weeks pay! It went belly up in 83.
    Go Gators.
