Getting close

    My exhaust system arrived this week. I got extremely lucky on ebay. I picked up a complete exhaust system in great shape for 124.00 plus shipping of 49.00. The header pipes have no rust, dings or bluing. The collector box is solid as a rock - there isn't any rust on the collector's clamp bolts! There are some dings on the two stock mufflers, but no rust.

    A tip of the cap to Bigfitz52 for the lead on the exhaust system.

    I had tires installed on both wheels today and I was the successful bidder on the right side cover I need. I'm too embarrassed to say what I had to bid to get it. My only needs now are carb rebuild kits and a petcock gasket from Chacal and the project will be mechanically sound and ready for syncing/mixture adjustments.

    Great news! Now before installing that new exhaust, paint the bottom of the collector with Duplicolor 1200 deg high temp paint. This will preserve it from rust and prolong it's life!
