I am interested in finding a reasonably priced engine for a 83 XJ750 maxim. This is for a friend of mine. It would help if it was in the Louisville, KY area, but if price is right?????? Who Knows. I also need the round headlight ring in nice condition.
    Thanks, Ed

I have a 1983 750 midnight maxim engine complete, but shipping would be way too much, i am considering tearing it apart, is there anything you can use from it?

Thanks for the replies. If I buy an engine it is going to have to be good. Parts won't help me. I have parts to rebuild the top end of my friends bike. I am trying to see what is out there at a good price that would save me from tearing his down. I also need to find a low shipping cost if it is far away.
He already has far more in this bike than it is worth.
    Thanks, Ed
