I have a quick question, will the Kuryakyn universal iso grips (7/8) work on my 83 XJ750 Maxim. The grips that are on now are small and I need something bigger (I have arthritis). Thanks

They should fit ok, but don,t you think that is a lot to pay for grips?

there are cheaper places to get them than JC Whitney. I put a set on my Suzuki Savage and really like the ISO grips. I also put the throttle boss on both sides and it makes a big difference on long rides.

I have a friend that has them on her XJ 650 - she loves them - I believe she's been heard to say "worth every penny".
Don't know if _I_ could justify that much on the grips, but boy she sure does like them a lot.

pro-taper makes some "fat" grips for MX racing, they are VERY comfortable. i dont have arthritis so i dont know if they would help with that, but i rode a dirtbike with them and i am going to start using them on my quad, they are much nicer to ride the mx track with.

I'm always open to new ideas and saving money. The reason I asked about the ISO grips is because I all ready have them on my S40 and they help a lot with my arthritis plus I like the looks of them. Looks like they will work but I will keep looking at other grips.
    Thanks

I change all my bikes to old-school "fat" GranTourismo style http://www.oldbikebarn.com/Motorcycle_P ... 8Ta38Naxb0 because I have large hands, and the stock Yammie grip is just too skinny. They used to come on British bikes; they're "dual walled" in that the outer grip is a "skin" over an inner grip consisting of a gazillion little ribs so that they're soft even though appearing solid and they damp out vibration quite well.
