    HCP1250 Aftermarket rear brake pedal Brake Light Switch,, complete with lead harness, return spring, and a pair of metal nuts (instead of the original plastic nut-and-retainer). NOTE;[/b} this switch comes with the return spring that is correct for XJ1100 models; however, the switch body with wiring leads will replace ALL XJ-series rear brake light switchs (all XJ550, XJ650, XJ700, XJ750, XJ900RK, and XJ1100 models). Wire lead colors and length are not correct for all models, but lead wires are about the same length as was originally used on all XJ bikes, and the lead wires DO come with correct bullet terminals as original, so it will plug right into your stock harness leads. For all but the XJ1100 models, you will have to save and re-use the original spring, and the original plastic retaining nut (the two metal nuts provided will allow you to mount this switch in the frame tab, but the original plastic nut is a much more, ummm, "elegant" method of mounting this switch!).

    question for you chacal. I noticed that my brake light was not coming on for the back brake, but it was for the front brake. I checked, and the spring had broken. Can you get just a spring and how much is it?
