Gas prices have dropped all over. This one made local news, and even caused a cop car to slam into another car, which then hit a house !
The "Dodge Store" in Winter Garden, FL said that they were selling the gas for exactly what they paid for it- - 2.88 a gallon. Other stations near me are about $3.27 or so. Anybody else with really cheap/expensive gas?

$2.99-$3.05 in Frankfort, KY. Anywhere from $3.25 to $3.59 in surrounding areas though. What's sad is that we've been conditioned to think this is a good price though.

Father in law said " it was $3.70" up in North Carolina. Here in Houston suburbs (Cypress) I have seen $2.92.

$3.15 for the cheap stuff here in Indiana. I agree that its rather sad how we've all been conditioned to think $3/gal for gas is a good price.

Calgary is around $1.08 per liter right now which is approx 4.32 PER GALLON and this is the cheapest it's been in a while! to make it worse alberta is a major world supplier for oil and we still get hosed at the pump!

I've got you all beat. One of the local stations ran a special. For 5 hours they sold it for $1.99 a gallon. The rest of the day they sold it for 2.99. Which is still about 40 cents cheaper than it's competitors. The normal price around here is low to mid 30's lately

even taking into account the US gallon is smaller than ours it's still not that bad

US gallon is only about 3.78 litres (just done me figures I see that's what you worked it out on)

We're about $1.95 for premium, based on that we'd be $7.37 a US gallon

Same Dodge store today was priced $2.99 and they were OUT !!
Other stores came down a little to $3.23 .
I've heard it costs about $4.00 a BARREL to pump the crude out .
Imagine how cheap it would be if it were all done at COST .

as far east as you can get in michigan 43.027407,
before i get flamed off the board id like to make a few comments if i can...

from 1981-1983 (the years i was driving in high school) a gallon of unleaded gasoline cost me $1.25. i dont think it varied by more than $0.05 a gallon the entire time...

in 1988 right after i bought my new mustang GT a gallon of unleaded was right around a $1.00 it varied up and down about $0.30 for that year i think...

with what the pay scale was back then and the inflation rate were we paying too much or too little for gas? with todays pay are we REALLY paying too much for gas? how much has the median income and daily needed commodities gone up in 20 years?

granted i would LOVE to pay under a dollar a gallon but realistically is $2 or $3 a gallon for gas out of hand?

Not really, Dave, not really, especially compared to other Industrialized "Western" nations like Germany, or the Netherlands as mentioned by one of our members. That being said, it's dropping below $3 all over Metro Detroit; I saw $2.89 a bunch of places today...

i gassed all my vehicles up today for 2.99 a gallon, spent close to 300 bucks just on gas today, its been so long for a fillup on my car, it took a couple miles of driving for the fuel gauge to move over half a tank, lol
