    Has the Yamaha Motor Company ever shown any interest in this site?
    I wonder what their stance is regarding us resurecting these old classics, do they take any possitives from it, or would they be happier if the bikes went to the junk yard & we all bought new machines.

    more likely the latter. Don't think they make much money off of us. I try to use either good used, aftermarket rather than new OEM Yamaha. They are not like GM, lower the factory parts prices to be competetive.

    It could be good marketing for them like the gm or toyota with 1 million miles kind of thing, advertize quality or longevity they must make a good bike now if so many people still love there old ones, in theory! or maybe i'm just to cheap (or broke) to buy a new one!

    id venture to say that they couldnt care less about "us". i bet some "higher ups" dont even know what an XJ is!

    Like most other manufacturers, main focus is on new model sales.
    They would probably want us to junk our antiques and get the latest and greatest they have to offer.
