$145 shipped? Wow, great price on that. Someone get these and let me know how they look and how they fit. I'm getting saddlebags over the winter, but have only looked at leathers so far.

A friend has a DB model trunk mounted on his Harley and he likes it and so does his wife. I have been debating about getting one myself and after seeing one mounted on a bike, I'm going to get it.

That looks like a nice trunk.
    NICE thick backrest too.
I got mine off Ebay for about $85 but it's smaller.
LOVE it >>I can actually carry enough to make the bike a viable vehicle.

Excuse the yellow bag of dirt in the background!
Make sure you mount it securely or it won't stay behind you.

I bought the Mutazu GA hard bags for my 750 Maxim. They were easy to install and look good on the bike. They aren't the best quality, but for the money they seem pretty good. I just drilled and tapped the side rails for 3/8" bolts to mount them. I am still debating on getting a trunk or just going with a sissy bar/rack and soft bag.

Here are a couple of pictures. I mounted the turn signals on the fender until I can make a bracket for them.

    Looking good Bravo!

It looks like you drilled holes in the rail, is that right? Is there room to use the passenger pegs? Can you still take the seat off with the bags on?

Yes I drilled holes in the rails for 3/8" bolts and I know my 11 years son (size 8 men's shoe) has plenty of room. There is no problem getting the seat off, there is room in between the rails/bags or I can reach under the mounts to release the seat. I am going to try to get some aluminum to make a bracket to mount the turn signals and license plate where the reflector was.

I've been trying to find some luggage I could use with my 1981 XJ650 Maxim, but everything I'm finding in the way of saddlebags seems to require me to move the rear turn signals or drill into things. I ride motorcycles, but I don't have any mechanical ability to modify them. Can anyone recommend a type of luggage (saddlebags, tail bags, or tank bags) that seem to work well and won't require me to have the rear of the bike rearranged? :)

    Thanks,

    Rich Roszel
