1981 750 one coil out wire diagram help

    ....question for forum...? She runs good...put on Fairing...lost one set of cyl's...anyone got a good picture of ignition wire diagram and or grounds...the fairing instruments bar at top are flashing and lost cyl pair?
    ....Did try new IC Module with a prayer...no good...coil still inop?

    ....any ideas, <<< xjdub81 >>>

    When installing the fairing, maybe you disconnected a wire? or damaged something?

    Thanks KD ... I got all the wires connected...Maybe not in right places...looking for a diagram picture...tried all the links...all lead to buying parts not fixing problem...Thank you anyhow...Dub

    if all the wires are hooked up I'd guess theres probably one that got pinched and/or shorted by the fairing. As for this picture I have no idea what you mean. heh.

    Unless someone's modified your harness, pretty much all of those connectors are keyed so that can't be mis-wired.

    The connections to the coils are two-pin connectors about 3" from the coils on the frame. I believe you could switch those two, but, if you had done that you'd have spark on all four plugs 90 degrees out of time.

    Power supply to the two coils is from a single fuse, so you wouldn't lose only one there.

    Best bet is to check the coil resistance with a meter (primary and secondary sides) and also check that the plug caps are in good shape and well screwed on.
