Have a look around for a bike wreckers in your area.I've found loads of parts like sissy bars and racks and related stuff. Some needed a bit of bending and welding but still a deal a few bucks a part.

They are very hard to find however I have posted a solution on the mods do a search for it. You will have to fabricate it yourself but will work.

If you look in my gallery you can see the one I built for my '82 XJ750J. I'm not overly handy but it was pretty easy. It's a little rough but I may try to get it looking a little more professional this winter. It only took about $40 in parts and a couple of hours. For tools I think it took a drill, hacksaw, staple gun, scissors, and a grinder.

    mikeg,
I looked at your galery and that sissy bar & Pk. tray looks good. By the looks of things, that will be one of my winter progects.
    Thanks

Ok, so it's been a few months - anybody still got a sissy bar around they're looking to unload?

I'm also looking for a luggage rack/sissy bar for a '82 650 Maxim, I'll probably pick up a similar one and modify it if I can't find one soon... I need something to bolt the ammo cans to :) ( /t=9461/ )

Hey stormothecentury I see you are from the Roc...

I just may have something that may fit real cheap. I think have a K&G that might work. I will check it out on my cuz's 82' for fitment and let you know
