Minnesota Carb Clinic Is Any Body Interested????

Calling All XJ Members in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Dakotas all are welcome. If you are in the area let me know if you are interested in getting togeather for a carb clinic. I can host and we have a heated shop space with compressed air. Lets get togeather and dial our carbs in and have alittle fun doing it. If everyone can't make a date we could do two sessions if needed. Please let me know so we can set dates

this would be perty cool since im new to the xj's and sync'n carbs. i should be finished with the bike soon and im sure when i get it started it will need a tune and jet

 

Thanks for responding Blackout. Still looking for more guys and gals to step up to the plate here. I have a nice shop we can work in , I will PM PainterD and Edina Dad and see if they want to set up a date.

I was planning on doing my carbs and valves this winter anyways, so this is perfect for me.

 

Hope we can get some more people to respond so we can schedule a time. I think when the snow starts to fly we'll get a few more to sign up. Defintely figure a weekend day . Saturdays are good for me

 

yeah i'm all for making my bike run great. i dont want all the other work to go to waste when it doesnt run good. I just need to get spark now, everything else is ready for it to start.

Hi Mn Maxim,I don't need carb help but wouldn't mind a midwinter get together. I recently got a 650 seca as my latest project and would love to talk about these and other bikes. Guzzi John-Champlin :wink:

 

I will get a date for January and let everyone know. I have a BBQ grill and we can broil up some burgers and brats for lunch. Should be fun to see everyone.

 

MN- Maxim, I could really use the help with my carbs I plan on taking a wack at them this winter. And me as a first timer could really benefit from the experience. Let me know what I would need to bring along. Most Saturdays would work for me :?

 

I would be interested in this if my schedule works when you decide. My need a place to crash. Let me know what you plan. Give me a heads up so I can order parts and adjust the schedule.

The holidays are almost over and January is my slowest time. Any saturday or sunday will work. I'm going to print off Ricks Old School Carb Cleaning. So Lets sound off for what day and maybe if there is enogh interest we can schedule a second day for those who can't make the first one. I'm thinking the 17th would be a good day to shoot for. Let me know

 

my carbs maybe need a cleaning but my biggest deal right now is it not getting spark. and everything seems to check out fine. could maybe be the pickups or the ignition module. but its so dang cold i havnt been able to work on it since fall. so i suppose if anybody wanted to help me figure it out at the meet i'd be down. or sometime in the spring

 

January 17th Any takers?????? Please let me know if you would like to come over to my shop. I'm going to pull the carbs off of my XJ650H and I will be going through those for sure. I have carb dip and a large air compressor. We can also arrange a second session for those who can't make it. PM me so I can get everything ready.

 

Jan 17th I will be working on the carbs for my 650. If anyone wants to stop in and work on their carbs Also I welcome you to do so. Let me know so I can give you directions.

 

i will be be too busy this month to meet up. But a spring meet would for sure be fun to do
