I own a 750 Seca and live in Dallas, Tx. area. My bike runs pretty hot when running when it is real hot outside. I figured an oil cooler would help and bought a used one off EBAY. I know where it mounts, but I don't know what kind of oil line to use or how to plug into engine oil? Can anybody help?
    Thanks,
    Jerry

Your oil cooler should have come with lines and a round adaptor.
IIRC, the adaptor fits between the block and the filter cover.
The lines attach to the adaptor.
    Hope this helped.

P.M. RickCoMatic for a heads up, I know he added an oil cooler to one of his stable.

The Cooler, Lines, Oil Filter Adaptor Plate and Special Hallow Hex Fastener to affix the Adaptor Plate to the Oil Filter Base on the Sump Case should have been included if you bought a Yamaha Oil Cooler.

The Adaptor Plate Fits to the Oil Filter Platform.
The Special Hex Bolt secures the Adaptor to the Platform.
The Special Hex Fastener had and Inside Diameter drilled and Threaded to accept the Oil Filter Bolt.
The Filter Cover and Bolt attach to the Oil Cooler Adaptor Plate.
Lines come from either side of the Oil Cooler Adapter.
Special O-Ring Sealed lines attach to the Adaptor and run top the Cooler.
Each Line had a Hex Fitting which secures a Bubble Flared Line end into the Oil Cooler Fittings.

While your putting on the cooler you should look into putting a spin on oil filter from Chacal the are great I converted my bike when I put the cooler on and I got a chrome oil filter for it and it looks great

Thanks guys. Unfortunately, I didn't get anything but the cooler itself! I have already added the mod for the spin on oil filter. Wonder if Chacal might have the other parts I need? I must email and foind out.

You should try to keep the application of an Oil Cooler to your XJ-Bike limited to Yamaha Parts.

Otherwise, the installation is going to get "Bulky" with hoses, fitting and clamps not needed on a OEM Set-up.

The OEM Set-up includes lines already formed to allow the Oil Lines to be close together ans attach to the Cooler off the Center Line, not interfering with the front-end and steering.

The FZ600 (around 1987) have exactly the same oil cooler and engine adapter plate as the XJ900. This should also fit the XJ750. These seem to be quite plentiful and relatively cheap. The only fly in the ointment is that the hoses are not long enough.

I have a complete 900 Oil Cooler Package on my 750 Maxim.

    To make it fit:

Loosen the connections at the Cooler and run the two Oil Lines Tie-wrapped together from the Oil Filter Adapter.
    Remove the Horns.
    Relocate horns.

    Fabricate "Flex-bushings' to mount Cooler.
Using captive threaded braze-on horn mounts for Coolers Lower Mounts.
    Nylon flat washer (Anti-rattle)
    Medium fender washer
    Rubber Bushing
    Fender washer
    Nylon washer
Pass bolt through hardware and "Load" the Rubber Bushing.

Lower section of Cooler is Mounted.
Below the lower steering column tree.

I have an XJ750 Seca. Want to install a cooler from a 650 turbo. There is a rubber bushing that holds the top of the cooler to the frame under the frame neck.

Anybody have a picture of what this bushing should look like? Thanks

It's just a hollow-core bushing, nothing really special about it. Slips over the "peg" on the top of the oil cooler upper core plate, and then pops into a bracket that's on the 650 Turbo frame. That bracket is something that you'll have to fabricate/jury-rig to fit it onto your bike.

The bushing looks like a very tall electrcal wire "panel hole" grommet......

We have the correct bushings in stock.
