Hi all. I found the site about a week ago but have not had the time to fully explore. I'll be glad to get my bike back running. I hope it doesn't take me too long.

    Hello!

JD's quite right, there's a wealth of knowledge to be had here...lord knows I've tapped into it at least 2 dozen times in the past 2 weeks :p

Pictures are always a plus, show us your XJ !

Here are a couple of pics taken with my camera phone. I have had the bike for about 12 years, but it has been sitting for a while. I have some work to do to get it road-worthy. Since I rank myself close to "pass carbeurator cleaning 101," any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
(If pics don't show, they are in my gallery.)

Someone else with an 82 750max! Woo!

Heading to check you pics now.

The end of this coming week will likely be busy for me and my XJ as most of my mod parts should have arrived by then. I'll get some pics up once I get something going :)

Got to get my pics uploaded to internet server. I live in the middle of nowhere and can only get dial-up or satellite (too expensive), so I will probably wait until I get time at work. I look forward to seeing your updated machine.

A great big welcome to you rredder! Looks like you found a friend already. Hessen, your experiments on your bike should be really nice when your done. I hope you photographed the process.

Oh, I'm doing one better and taking video of each step along the way.

Being as this is my first bike, and my first attempt at modding anything besides some computer cases for friends, the video should prove amusing :p

I'll have pics too...Parts should start arriving Thursday but tomorrow is officially "seat day" where I chop the heck outta my seat and refit the cover, along with the removal of a few extra pieces I no longer feel the need to have on my bike.

The first installment of my newbie XJ mod video should be online tomorrow nite :D
