    Hello all,

Looks like I have to overhaul the whole brake system on the XJ. The hoses are dated Nov 1987. Must be the originals, so the PO never replaced them. Almost all of the pistons are sticking. And both master cylinders overhaul too. I will get a vacuum bleeder to help with this job. At least my XJ does not have the fork anti-dive units to look at, as well.

The rear caliper looks like a similar design to the front calipers. I'm wondering why the rear disc caliper has 2 bleed nipples? Will I have to rig up 2 hoses and a Y junction to bleed it, or bleed one nipple at a time? My Haynes manual is a bit vague about this.

Just bleed one at a time, starting with the furtherest away from the brake hose.
