I went to drain the bowls for winter.
I discovered that Carbs #2 and #3 have the drain screws facing the wrong way.
Instead of #2 pointing out toward #1 it points in toward #3.
    #3 points toward #2.
I was super annal about the carb cleaning I can't believe I would have done this.
Did I put them back together wrong or is it supposed to be this way?
If they are wrong I should be able to just switch bowls right?

Hound, you are correct. Just swap the bowl and you will fine. The first time that I cleaned my carbs I put two bowls in the wrong carbs. It doesn't hurt anything but it's almost inmposible to access the bowl drain screw.

They should facing "Outboard" in pairs.
1 + 2 ought to be facing to the left.
3 + 4 ought to be facing to the right.

When you find them like that on a Bike you plan to buy ... its a sign the Carbs have been monkeyed-around with.
Or, cleaned by someone with a lack of detail.

Although, don't feel bad about mixing them up and getting the Bowls out-of-order.
    Everybody does it.
    Nothing gets hurt; but pride.

If you didn't mention it ... it wouldn't have been discussed.
