pilot screw position for the carby

    Can someone please tell me what position the pilot screws in the carby should be in case they have been changed from the factory settings.
    I know they have been set at the factory but that was years ago!...who knows what has happened since then, if you know what I mean.

    alleycat,
    if your talking about the mixture srews, they should be turned out 2.5 to 3 turns max to start with. only way to tell is run them down till the stop, make a mark ometal to mark starting point, then count you turns out.

    when you are turning them in you can count turns to se where they are currently set. be sure & write the numbers down by cylinder so you know where you are at.
