New guy with more questions...

    I want a windscreen for my 82 xj650, but I am not sure which to order. I don't want to order a universal and hope it fits right. I am looking for the type that has the little wings that protest your hands and a pretty tall one too.

    What part#s do you guys and gals use or recommend?

    Actually, I think your best bet is going to be universal mount. With the age of these bikes stock is getting harder and harder to come by.

    You might want to go with 4 point mount just for more stability, JCWhitney has a pretty good selection.....

    Most of those "clear fairing" type windshields come with universal mounts that have adjustable arms top and bottom. You can adjust them to fit your bike as they come plenty long.
    I bought a bunch of those mounts they had left over at the Dennis Kirk scratch & dent store just because the were so cheap. I knew I'd find a use for them somewhere along the line. They worked perfect for mounting my windshield which didn't come with mounting hardware.

    I bought a 'Slipstream' the one with the hand protectors on it..it looks real good to me.
    I am going to ride it today to a gun show outside of town. Should be a pleasant trip with the new windshield on.
