Send a PM to chacal. He has a lot of that sort of thing, both new and rebuilt. I've bought parts from him several times and never been disappointed.

either will do. my sight glass is 20 some years old and flexes when brakes are applied. i was worried about any hard stopping, i can see that blowing out and the line of brake fluid straight to my eye. lol

If the sight glass is the issue there is a "how-to" on replacing it on this site. I should really replace mine too. Let me know how it goes. :)

Won't happen. The reservoir is not pressurized, no matter how hard you squeeze the lever!

I looked into replacing the sight glass some time ago. There are some folks on this board who have done it successfully. It looks like a fairly simple process:

    1) CAREFULLY punch out the old sight glass
    2) CLEAN the entire master cylinder thoroughly
    3) Put a minute amount of RTV sealant around the edge of your new sight glass and seat it, using gloves, since it will be difficult to clean fingerprints from the inside surface once it's mounted.

Seems simple enough, eh? What I found is the hard part is GETTING THE REPLACEMENT GLASS. I never could find a place that wanted to sell me the glass without ordering $50 of other stuff (minimum order), and I didn't have time to go running around to jewelers/watchmakers to get one.

So I bought a replacement master cylinder from chacal. In my case, this turned out to be the best solution, since the master cylinder on my bike was not the correct one anyway. Someone had swapped it for some other strange thing. Said "Yamaha" on top and seemed to work, but had a right-hand threaded mirror mount, so obviously not stock.

    Hope that helps you some.
