Close, Chacal. It's a 73. 74 Century's had the stacked rectangle headlights and rectangle turn signals like the 73 Regals.

This one has a 455 bored .038, making 464 CI, 13:1 compression, Holley HP1000 carb and a .600" lift cam. Need a looser torque convertor to get the 60' times down and then, it's back to the track.

Here's a couple pics of the car.

That's a rattle can red. Original Buick block color. The later Buicks, 74-76 no more big blocks after 76, were a blue color.

Boy, that is one rompin'-stompin' Buick motor..........I once had a '70 GS455 Stage 1 (automatic), was the smoothest, torque-iest car I've ever owned.

Do you know that David Buick, the founder of Buick Motor Car Company, made his first fortune in life by perfecting the process of attaching porcelain to steel? In other words, he was the inventor of the modern plumbing fixture..........

This is the one from Harbor Freight. I caught it when it was on sale and I believe I paid right at 350.00. I have to tell you, it makes working on the bike a pleasure instead of a strain.

alkasmeltzer is that a rocket motor?
If not what year is it.
I had a Pontiac the same color so I think it must be stock a color.

'Sup Hound? Nope, a 'Rocket' motor is an Olds engine. This thing is all Buick. I just gotta be different, ya know!! Seems everyone at the track wants to build a small block Chevy to put in everything. They laugh at me because I'm different. I laugh at them because they are all the same!!!

The exterior is a common GM color for the era. Forrest green, I think, it's called. As for the engine color, it is a Buick color. No other factory engine is this color. Only Buick. At least until the smog years, then they switched to blue.

alkasmeltzer, what is the car next to the cracked up dodge. Looks like a G-body of some sort. And While we are on the subject of Buicks let me bring up the '87 Grand National. I will take some pictures of the garage we store are cars in and post the up here sometime later.

Flatblack, it is an 84 Electra Park Avenue. I have another 455 in the garage right now waiting for a Stage 1 rebuild to go in it. One hell of a sleeper, ya think?

I also have a line on on 84 T-type for $2K. Waiting on Uncle Sugar to free up my $$. Shows no oil pressure and has a squeal when it runs. sSounds like a spun bearing. Should be a simple rebuild and maybe go through the turbo. It may have not been getting any oil either and may have toasted the bearing. Just what I need. Another damn project!!!
