I overheard a guy at one of the bike shops in my area talking about how he needs to repair the fuel injector on his Maxim 700. Was there ever a time when this was done by the manufacturer or is there a way to rig one? If so would it even be worth the time to do?

Wish I could have asked him but he left shortly after.

it can be done, there's a member here who has done it, fully custom.

I think there was maybe one or two models w/ factory FI? I cant remember.

    Good lord!

I have a long way to go before my technical understanding is capable of taking on an endeavor like that.

Although if he does make it into a kit I'd love to get my hands on one.

Did you link to his off-forum website with the step-by-step? http://residentialcolorado.com/SECA_750i.htm
Damn impressive. I think we'd all like a kit, but I don't think WE're a big enough market to recoup the cost of production...

If I still had access to the WaterJet at my old work, I'd easily do this to my old XJ650 for fun...would probably also motivate me to make it road worthy again :)
