So after putting it off for tooooo long :), Dez was cleaning up his Shadow side covers, so i figured i'd whip mine up quick too. I've always hated the way the one looked.

(Sorry the board tends to post the first file selection last for some reason lol :)

Left it on to do it for now, the next oil change i do i'll prolly pull it off and do up all the little knooks it's got.

Used some 3M pad type things Dez had for his Dremmel to get the laquor off, then 400-600-1000-1500 grit, wet sand, then AutoSol to shine it up. I'll prolly AutoSol it again, along with everything else but the actual engine.

Maybe took me an hour to do this.

Edit: I got LED's for the speedo/tach and all lights in the cluster on order, that will be nice :) I don't think i wanna change the actual signal lights tho, i'd like to keep them original.

I used 2000 grit sand paper to get the scratches out and used a powerball and mother mag polish. then used clear coat to keep it that way.

Looks great! I swear by AutoSol, have used it for years on the Norton.

However, I recently discovered Mother's Billet Metal polish (pretty expensive, comes in a GLASS jar!) and it is even a grade or two finer yet than AutoSol. Try some of that after you've used AutoSol and you will be amazed at the results.

WLEDx5 all around, i got the actual colour for the lens, just incase cool white was tooooo bright for it. Cool white for the gauge backlights tho :)
