    I would like to replace it. Cracked when removing battery from bike. I found one for a Kawasaki 750 on eBay. Will it work? The eBay vendor couldn't say.

    I found a thread here describing bypassing sensor by running sensor wire to positve battery terminal. Anyone done this?

    Anesseca.....I offer the original battery sensor for your bike, in stock! It is the screw-in design, as original.

    Battery Fluid Sensors:

    eb1) OEM Battery LOW FLUID SENSOR---this one battery cap is used in the #3 cell from the positive terminal and reports a low battery fluid (water) condition to the dash warning lights. Without this sensor present, or if it malfunctions, the "low battery" warning light will always be lit. With harness pigtail. NOTE: these sensors are the correct depth to fit stock Yuasa batteries. Other manufacture batteries may require a shorter sensor depth, and you must measure and then trim the sensor tip shorter (if necessary) to insure that the tip does not bottom out in the battery! If your battery does not have screw-in style cell caps, you will have to use a bolt to "cut" threads in the proper cell to allow the original style threaded sensor to screw in.

    Of course, these sensors will not fit nor work in "maintenance-free" style sealed batteries.

    HCP1449 OEM Battery LOW FLUID SENSOR, for all XJ750 Seca, 1982 XJ750 Maxim, and XJ1100 models, blue, screw-in type, with wire lead:
    $ 27.00
