the bad news is i had to give away my xj750 today. :(

but the good news is i have just got the title to my new 82 kz1000p!(800 bucks!)

and like i said, i needed space so i gave away my xj, yes, gave it away! My dad will sure appreciate it, and all the shiny new parts and paint i put onto it. we have to finish reassembly and customizing to his liking. I know that if i tried to sell it i would not be able to get my money back though, so i feel better giving it to someone who would appreciate it.

Wait until you have to do a valve adjustment on the Kawi... I believe the shims may be UNDER the buckets, requiring removal of the camshafts.

Ahhh man, I'd love to have that bike. I'd freak people out. One thing I'd do is come up behind cars that I thought looked suspicious and scare the hell out of them...LOL

I believe you have to remove the emblems to be legal.

unless you are going ride it only in parades, your going to have to take off all the decals, red and blue lights, and the siren.

Although it would be cool to friek your friends out after a party but sad to say they gotta go. I,m quite suprized they sold it that way.

Looks wicked cool though. I'd like to have it.

It's really cool. CHiPs is my second-favorite all time bad TV show (right behind Dragnet but well ahead of Adam-12 and A-Team.) Maybe you could just CHANGE the lettering to something else and put yellow and green lights in the fairing and get away with it.

i replaced the rear red and blues with standard red and turned em into running lights, pulled the fronts and replaced em with clears and turned them into running lights. peeled off the lettering and stars, think ill put lettering where it used to say "SHERIFF" and put lettering on that says "WHAT IF".

Also the only mod i plan on is pulling off the radio box to add a passenger seat, and possibly a small luggage box.
