I was scaning through CL yesterday when i came across a 91 gsxr from Jan 28/09 po dumped it in 99 rode it home, parked it and hasn't touched it since! "I want it gone so come pick it up it's yours"!!!!!! I can't believe I missed it and worse yet it was in my area of town! I know it would have been a lot of work but it would have made a great project for when the max is done. ah well next time I guess :(
Anyone else have that mouth watering project get away?

I got two free XJ550s, a 24'drivable GM motorhome from CL and was going to pick-up an 82 Seca for $100. Too much stuff on CL. I live in a bachelor suite now,so no storage or shop. I have to impose on my friend.

Going back about 10 years ago I stopped in this little bike shop and there was this 1972 Norton Commando 750, black with the gold lettering. Showroom Condition. 8O I told the owner of the shop was very interested and I'd be back, I'd had to discuss it with the wife first,,meaning would it be alright to withdrawl $3500. Thats all he was asking for it. So I did and it was a go. Next day I went to work , rushed to the bank afterwards and took out $3500 cash, figured would be easier to make a deal with cash. Got to the bike shop ,and saw an empty space where the Norton sat. Thinking maybe, hoping it was in the back . So I went to the girl that was working, the owner wasn't in, and asked about it, she replied,"sold it to a older gentleman this morning",,,man was I ever let down. I wish I would of gave him a deposit for it, but I wasn't thinking. I bet if I bought it I'd still have it to this day. One day I will get one, but I don't think I'll get one for $3500. Well that that one anyways.

I look at it this way, If you didn't get it, it wasn't meant to be. Probably better off moving on to another project.
