Hey, there's hardly any rust on it! You definitely have a project there, but hearing it run for the first time will make it all worth it.

I've seen worse - assuming it turns over it should be fine. The hole is not a big issue if it does not go into the block - Rebuild it with JBWeld or something - there is nothing behind that cover. You are gonna want to replace the fuse box anyway.

Plenty of help available here. There is a product called KROIL that is great with rusted fasteners. They were offering 2 cans for $12 on their website.

Welcome, This is a great place for help and advice. First get a manual and read it. Looks like a new fuse block is in your near future. Plan on getting familiar with those carburetors. Procedures for repair of both can be found here using the search feature of the forum. The chunk missing from the case can be sculpted with JB wield. Some rubbing and polishing and you will have a great ride. I started with one that looked like this so you are already way ahead. Enjoy

I think you can get one on a CD thru this site or there's always the ebay gods.

When those bullets hit the tank it obviously produced an involuntary bodily function causing the seat to split. 8O

:D MOTOR IS GOOD! Its not getting gas so I had to spray gas in the air box to get it to stay running..its good knowing the motor isn't locked up,it didn't even smoke!!! any suggestions on why its not getting gas?..................starter button doesn't work, so I had to stick a screwdriver between the solenoid contacts........and my lights or signals don't work...

OH! Dont forget to bench synch....can find those instructions on here as well...um....makes me wonder what CANT one find on here???

Remember Rick's cleaning is Hitachi carbs, you probably have Mikunis. Some of the internals are slightly different but all the same tricks and principles apply, believe me. The Mikunis are actually a bit simpler.
