    Hey guys,
I am currently bringing a 1980 650 maxim back to life and I want to put some custom wheels on it this next winter. So my question is, does anyone know where I can get custom wheels for a shaft driven bike? Or is there anyway to convert wheels for a chain driven bike to work on a shaft driven bike?

You can use the wire spokes from a 750 Virago, and with some adapting and parts swapping, the rims from the 650 Turbo or Seca 900. The trouble is matching up the front brake rotors to the forks.

What style of rims did you have in mind?

I'm thinking of some polished spokes on a black powder-coated rim.

Then get the cheapest, rustiest (within reason) Virago rims you can find, order stainless spokes, have the rims powder coated, and the hubs can be polished like chrome, soda blasted and clear coat, or black, and they'll look like new.

It's very rare any Virago parts around here. Does anyone know a website were I could find these rims?
