83 Honda Nighthawk carb. questions.

    I'm working on a 83 Honda 550 Nighthawk for a friend. Guess he likes the sound of my 80 XJ 650 :D So far i have super cleaned them, and i'm about to start tuning. It starts good now and warms up at idle ok. The problem is when i gas it boggs and misses. Are the mixture screws the same as our bikes? Out is richer right? They are set on 2 turns off seat. Any help would be Great??
